Today we will be going over how you are able to perform an Android data backup as well as an Android data restore with the use of the Dr.Fone – Android Data Backup & Restore Program.
Using Dr.Fone to Android Data Backup
These steps apply when you are looking to use the Dr.Fone program to back up your Android device’s data.
Step #1 – Start off by downloading and installing the Dr.Fone program accordingly.
Step #2 – Once it’s installed, launch the program.
Step #3 – After Dr.Fone has launched, connect your Android device using a USB cable.
Step #4 – On the main panel of the program, here you will be shown several more options. Click on the “Backup & Restore” option.
Step #5 – From here, you will be shown some basic information about the connected Android device, click on the “Backup” option.
Step #6 – Take a few moments to decide and select all of the data types that you’d like to backup, and once you’ve selected those types, click on the “Backup” button at the bottom.
Step #7 – Depending on how much data you are backing up, this may take some time, although once the backup has completed you will be able to view the backup that you’ve taken as well as all of the previous backups that you have taken with the Dr.Fone program.
So, as you can see, performing an Android data backup isn’t a difficult task at all, especially with Dr.Fone. With that in mind, let’s take a look at how you are able to perform an Android data restore with the use of Dr.Fone.
Using Dr.Fone Toolkit to Android Data Restore
If something goes wrong with your device and you lose data on your Android device, you can use the steps below to simply restore the data that you’ve lost, in just a few short minutes.
Step #1 – As usual, make sure that you have downloaded and installed the Dr.Fone program accordingly.
Step #2 – After installing, launch Dr.Fone and wait for it to fully launch.
Step #3 – Next, connect your Android device to your computer using a USB cable.
Step #4 – Direct yourself to the main panel of the program, and Choose the “Backup & Restore” option.
Step #5 – You will then be prompted with a display which shows some basic information about the connected device. When you are ready, click on the “Restore” button.
Step #6 – You will be shown all of the backups which are available for you to restore from. Choose the backup you’d like to have restored.
Step #7 – From here, you will be able to selectively restore data from the backup that you have chosen. If you have only lost certain types of data, this feature is very useful.
Step #8 – Select the type of data you’d like to restore, or select all of them, and click on the “Restore” button.
Step #9 – You will be prompted with a warning message, simply click “Ok” and authorize Dr.Fone on your Android device.
The process itself should only last a few moments, however, is dependent on how much data you have chosen to restore. After that, you have successfully restored a backup using Dr.Fone!
As you can see, neither of these processes is difficult and while other programs may be more complicated, Dr.Fone Toolkit for Android turns this otherwise complex task into something a lot more simple. Not only that, but Dr.Fone has many other features to offer, including:
- Being able to recover data that you had accidentally deleted
- Recovering data from a phone which has broken
- Several backup and restoration tools
