One of the most stressful tasks to take on when you get a new phone is the task of transferring your contacts. Not only that, but if you want to transfer all of the data on your old phone over to your new phone, that difficult task becomes twice as difficult. As if that wasn’t bad enough, if you have an iPhone and want to migrate all of your contents to your newly bought Galaxy Note 7/8, things get messy.
Neither iOS or Android are equipped with the necessary tools to successfully migrate all contents from iPhone to Galaxy Note 7, so when you are transferring between these two platforms you have to find your own alternate methods to do so otherwise you have to do it all manually, which can take hours out of your day. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into some of the methods available to migrate all of your contents successfully in just a matter of minutes.
The first method that we’re going to take a look at uses the dr.fone – Phone Switch. dr.fone has a lot of other features to offer, besides transferring data, although we’ll get to that after. For now, let’s take a look at how you can migrate all contents from iPhone to Galaxy Note 8 in just a few minutes.
Step #1 – First, make sure that you have downloaded and installed the dr.fone program accordingly. Once you have it installed, go ahead and launch it up.
Step #2 – After the program has launched, you will be provided with serval different options to choose from. Select the “Switch” option.
Step #3 – If you haven’t done so already, then go ahead and connect both of your phones using USB cables. Once they’re connected and dr.fone has detected this, they will appear on the display.
Note: if the iPhone and Galaxy Note Phone appears on the wrong sides of the transfer process, simply go ahead and click on the “Flip” button and they will be placed in the right places.
Step #4 – Now that dr.fone has detected your devices, select all of the data that you’d like to transfer. After taking the time to do this, go ahead and click on the “Start Transfer” button, and the process will begin.
Step #5 – A progress menu will be shown as the transfer goes on in order to show you what data has been transferred so far. The process itself should only take a few minutes, depending on how much data you are transferring.
Once the display disappears, you will be told that the process is complete and all of the data that was on your iPhone will now be on your Galaxy Note 8/7, it’s that easy!
Above we took a focus on how to migrate all contents from iPhone to Galaxy Note 7, although let’s take a look at some of the many other features that the dr.fone program has to offer.
As you can see, dr.fone – Phone Switch has more to offer than just being able to Migrate all contents from iPhone to Galaxy Note 7/8/FE, although let’s take a look at one of the other methods available out there, Dr.Fone.
With this method, we are going to focus in on another of WonderShare’s programs, Dr.Fone – iOS Whatsapp Data Transfer. With the last method we took a look at how you can transfer all of the data that is on your iPhone over to your Galaxy Note 7, however in this method we are going to take a look at transferring your WhatsApp messages specifically.
Step #2 – Now that the program has launched up, select “Backup & Restore” option from the tool list. And then go to “WhatsApp Backup & Restore” tab on then left you will be displayed with several options. On the main panel, select the “WhatsApp Transfer, Backup & Restore” option followed up by the “Transfer WhatsApp messages” option.
Step #3 – If you haven’t already done so, then connect both your iPhone and your Android devices using USB cables. After you’ve connected them, Dr.Fone Toolkit for iOS will detect their connection and they will appear on the program.
Note: if the connected devices do not appear in the appropriate places, then simply click on the “Flip” button which appears in the centre of the display and they will be placed appropriately.
Step #4 – When you are ready to begin, click on the Transfer button.
Note: it’s worth noting that any WhatsApp messages which are currently stored on the destination device (in this case the Galaxy Note 8/7/FE) will be completely removed and will be replaced by the messages which are being transferred)
Step #5 – After clicking on the Transfer button you will be prompted with a warning message, simply click on the “Yes” button and the process will begin.
Step #6 – Depending on the amount of messages that you are transferring the process itself should only take a few minutes.
Step #7 – Once the transfer is complete, you will be instructed to go over to the Android device and follow the instructions shown.
Step #8 – Simply open up the WhatsApp application and click on the “Restore” button when prompted. It’s important that you don’t click on the “Skip” button otherwise you will have to start from Step #1 again.
So, if you’re not looking to migrate all contents from iPhone to Galaxy Note 7 but rather just the WhatsApp messages, then using Dr.Fone is the best option for you.
While we focused in on transferring only your WhatsApp messages between devices, let’s take a look at some of the other features that Dr.Fone has to offer and precisely the reason as to why it’s the best choice for you.
While there are many other features of Dr.Fone – iOS Whatsapp Data Transfer, including being able to migrate all contents from iPhone to Galaxy Note 8/FE/7, these are the ones most worthy of being mentioned.
